New Trails Run Club Sebastopol
Come join us for a Sunday run, no matter your ability.
Why we started a running club?
Running has always been more than just exercise for us—it’s a way to connect, heal, and grow. As an osteopath, I’ve worked with countless people who’ve faced challenges getting back to running after injuries or life changes. I’ve seen firsthand how transformative it can be when someone finds the confidence to lace up their shoes again.
For my wife, running has been a cornerstone of her mental health. It’s given her clarity, strength, and resilience during some of life’s toughest moments. After having our child, she experienced the struggles many parents face in returning to running—balancing new responsibilities with the desire to reclaim a piece of herself while her body healed. Both her journey and my own struggles to stay active and injury-free inspired us to create a space where others could find that same sense of renewal and community.
When a client suggested starting a running club for beginners or people who aren’t too serious, it felt like the perfect way to connect with community as we have just moved here from Australia. Our goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment for anyone looking to start or restart their running journey—whether you’re recovering from an injury, navigating major life transitions, or simply curious about running.
This club is about more than miles; it’s about building connections, fostering resilience, and celebrating progress at every pace. We’re here to cheer you on, provide guidance, and grow alongside you as we all rediscover the joy of movement.
We can’t wait to hit the ground running with you!

FAQs

Every second and fourth Sunday at 3pm

We run around Sebastopol, different routes depending on weather, but we try to use the trails as much as we can. There are options for shorter and longer routes between 1-5 miles. We will most likely split up based on speed preference but try to spend about the same time out together so we can be back around the same time.

Anyone who wants to run! Whether you are a long time runner or just beginning, you are welcome. If you are recovering from an injury or just getting back into running after pregnancy, we are here to support and encourage you. If you have concerns about a specific injury please reach out to Beau to discuss, or show up early for a free consult.

No. Though Beau has a masters degree in Osteopathic medicine and a good understanding of biomechanics and running injuries, he is not a physician. He can offer guidance and advice, but you must always trust your body above all else and consult with your doctor if you have concerns. This is particularly important if you have a history of bone density issues or are recently returning after child birth. New moms should definitely seek guidance from a pelvic floor physio before hitting the trails with us :)
-
Absolutely. Kids or babies in strollers are welcomed. You will want a running stroller that can handle being on dirt as well as pavement. Please follow all guidance on safe ages to run with baby and only do so if you feel 100% confident. Either way come out for a hike and meet some new people!
-
No problem. Some days we just aren’t up to it. You can meet us back outside The Garden Tap house at Community Market and we can commiserate and plan for the next time.
If you are thinking about joining us, please be sure to sign up for updates and sign the waiver below. Look forward to meeting you!
