Find Gentle, Effective Relief From Neck Pain in Sebastopol

If you're dealing with persistent or recent neck pain, New Trails Osteo offers affordable, thoughtful, hands-on care to help you move and feel better without long-term treatment plans or pressure.

Your first session includes a thorough assessment, personalised hands-on treatment, and simple movement guidance to support your recovery.

Struggling with back pain that keeps coming back?

At New Trails Osteo in Sebastopol, we take a whole-body, systems-based approach to understand why your neck is under strain-not just where it hurts.

Neck pain is rarely isolated. It’s often influenced by how you breathe, how your upper back and ribs move, how your jaw holds tension, and how your nervous system responds to daily stress.

Our goal is to uncover the pattern behind the pain and help your body move out of it.

How We Help

At New Trails Osteo, you get more than short-term relief. Our Australian-style osteopathic care focuses on helping you feel supported, informed, and confident in your recovery.

We combine:

Osteopathic manual therapy
Gentle, precise hands-on techniques to improve joint motion, tissue mobility, and comfort in the neck, shoulders, and upper back.

Targeted movement guidance
Simple, practical strategies to improve posture, breathing, and strength—so your neck isn’t carrying the load alone.

A whole-person perspective
We look at how stress, daily habits, and movement patterns affect your symptoms, not just what’s happening at the painful spot.

Our approach is about helping your body find a more efficient, balanced way to move, so pain becomes less necessary as a signal.

Backed by Research

Osteopathic care has been shown to reduce neck pain and improve function, particularly when combined with movement and exercise.

Clinical trials and reviews suggest that osteopathic manual therapy can lead to meaningful improvements in pain, disability, and quality of life in people with chronic, non-specific neck pain. Some studies show the strongest results when hands-on care is paired with therapeutic movement and education.

The science also recognizes that neck pain is complex and influenced by multiple systems in the body—supporting a whole-person approach rather than focusing on a single joint or muscle.

The evidence is promising and evolving, and care is most effective when it’s individualized to the person, not just the diagnosis.

Paired with movement and pain education, this approach empowers you to stay pain-free and resilient long after the session ends.

Common Questions

How long is a session?

Allow an hour for your first session and 50 minutes for follow ups.

Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly.

Is it covered by insurance?
We’re out-of-network. Although some clients use HSA/FSA accounts.

What should I wear?
Please wear or bring clothing you feel comfortable moving in that can alow access to working directly on the skin. In some cases, you may be asked to remove outer layers for assessment or treatment. A privacy gown is always available, and your comfort is our priority.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone’s needs are different, and I don’t believe in locking people into preset cookie cutter treatment plans. Some clients feel meaningful relief after just one session, while others benefit from a short period of ongoing support as we develop a personalized plan and allow the bodywork to integrate. We’ll always make decisions together based on your progress, goals, and what feels right for you.

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a hands-on healthcare approach that looks at how your bones, muscles, joints, and tissues work together—and how dysfunction in one area can affect the whole body.

It’s not just about treating a symptom.
It’s about restoring healthy movement, balance, and connection through skilled assessment and gentle manual therapy.

At New Trails Osteo, we also focus on helping you understand your body better—so you can move with more ease, confidence, and resilience in daily life.
